Our Mission

At Stichting OCON, we are committed to:

  • Promoting Knowledge Sharing: We facilitate learning through a variety of activities including training sessions, lectures, workshops, and other educational programs aimed at enhancing cybersecurity expertise across diverse sectors.
  • Fostering Community Interaction: We provide platforms for professionals, experts, and enthusiasts to connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate effectively within the cybersecurity realm.
  • Hosting OrangeCon: Our flagship event, OrangeCon, brings together industry leaders and cybersecurity enthusiasts for a meaningful exchange of knowledge and experiences. It serves as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration in the cybersecurity community.
  • Supporting Ethical Hacking: We actively invest in and support the ethical hacking community in the Netherlands, promoting responsible cybersecurity practices and ethical hacking initiatives.
  • Maintaining an Online Knowledge Hub: We maintain an online platform where members of the ethical hacking community can share information, resources, and insights, fostering continuous learning and growth.

Who are we?

Our founders and board members are Sherida van den Bent, Stef van Dop, and Barry van Kampen.

The motivation of the board members at Stichting OCON stems from a deep commitment to enhancing cybersecurity practices and education within the Netherlands. We are passionate about cybersecurity and believe in its importance in today's digital landscape. We are driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to improving cybersecurity awareness and capabilities across sectors.

The board values community engagement, and sees Stichting OCON as a platform to facilitate meaningful interactions and collaborations among cybersecurity professionals, experts, and enthusiasts. We are committed to the foundation's educational mission, recognizing the need to continuously enhance skills and knowledge through workshops, training sessions, and other educational initiatives.
